Anna Nesbitt - Counselor

Hello My Name Is...

Anna Nesbitt
     Mrs. Nesbitt

I am so happy to serve as the school counselor at South Douglas and to be a part of such a wonderful school and community.  I graduated from Georgia State University in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  From there, I completed a Master's Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama and then a Specialist Degree in Mental Health Practices in Schools from the University of Missouri.
The 2023-2024 school year marks my twentieth year in education and my eighteenth year serving as a school counselor in Douglas County.  Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was a classroom teacher for 2 years with experience in kindergarten and 4th grade.   I'm very excited to be starting my eighth year here at South Douglas and can't wait to see how the students grow this year!
My husband and I have been married for twenty one years and we have a son and a daughter who keep us very busy!  Our family enjoys being outside, watching movies and playing with our dog, Tuck!
I love working with children and families and I truly enjoy my role as a school counselor.  Please feel free to contact me at any time!
